 SWEATER GUIDELINES

Lost or damaged jerseys cost the association a significant amount of money each year - a cost that is paid by all members of the association.  As a result, Chebucto requires a $75 Refundable Jersey Deposit at registration.  Each registrant is required to provide a cheque postdated to May 1st of the following year to complete their registration. Cheques will be destroyed when the assigned jersey is returned in good condition. Jerseys not returned by May 1 or jerseys damaged due to misuse or neglect which requires the purchase of a replacement jersey will result in the cheque being cashed.

 CODES OF CONDUCT

Codes of Conduct exist for all players, coaches, parents, and spectators.  Compliance is expected by everyone involved with minor hockey, so please familiarize yourself with each document listed below:

 TRAVEL PERMITS

All Chebucto Minor Hockey teams require permits to play out of zone exhibition and tournament games. According to Hockey Nova Scotia our zone is in Halifax and consists of Halifax, Tasa, Bedford, Sackville, and Chebucto. Regular season league games are covered under a blanket permit and therefore are not necessary.

The responsibility of getting a permit is on the team and may take up to two weeks to receive, so plan ahead. These permits have to be approved and signed by our Halifax Regional Director (Bernie Lawlor) so time can be a factor. Generally permits can be had faster than two weeks but please don't take the chance of being denied an opportunity to play.

It is very important that these permits be obtained, without it the game will not be sanctioned by Hockey Nova Scotia or Hockey Canada. If this occurs all participants can become liable to any injuries or other sanctions that would typically be covered under Hockey Canada's insurance policy.

The permit number must be recorded on the game sheet of every game that it  covers. Officials are responsible to check the game sheet and if there is no permiet number they could refuse to allow the game to play. Once again officials are generally very strict about following the proper procedures and any game played without a permit risks the chance of losing insurance coverage for all participants.
